Day 5: Petrified Forest and Painted Desert
GOOD MORNING AMERICA!!!!
This morning we woke up bright and early in the New Mexico Military
Institute on our journey to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest, both
located in Flagstaff, Arizona.
On our ride, we saw parts of the United States that you
don’t see very often in the Carolina’s. We saw lots of rock formations and lots
of open land areas stretching for hundreds of miles.
Tyler Marr presented the Painted Desert to the group. In his
presentation, he exclaimed how the desert was truly a work of art painted by
the o-so-famous Bob Ross, he was kidding of course Once Tyler presented, we
then embarked on our journey to the Petrified Forest. Here, Abigail Griffith
shared her presentation on the forest with about 10 pages of facts!!!!
Once we left the Petrified Forest, TWB then rushed to the
Grand Canyon so we wouldn’t miss the sunset. We made it just in time to watch
the sky turn into majestic colors and truly capture the true beauty of America.
Once we saw this amazing sight, we had to come back to the campground quick and
get to bed early… because we’re hiking the Canyon TOMORROW AT 4:00AM!!!!!! See
ya tomorrow!!!!
